The Clinical Sciences Imaging Centre (CISC) at the University of Sussex (Brighton, UK) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow in MR Physics. The main focus will be upon collecting ultralow field MRI (ULF MRI) data for an Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) funded study aimed at evaluating the clinical viability of ULF MRI data for dementia diagnosis.
The second research focus is on developing and implementing advanced magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) pulse sequences on a Siemens 3T Prisma scanner and on an ultralow field (50mT) scanner for specific collaborations with researchers within the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) and collaborators from other institutions. We will also encourage the successful candidate to develop their own research interests, especially when they are in line with the main focus of our group.
The candidate should have excellent time management capabilities and communication skills. Good background in MR physics is required. Pulse programming experience is highly desirable, as well as good knowledge of Matlab or Python. Ability to collaborate with others is a must.
