The role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our innovative team at the University of Bristol. This role is full time, with hybrid working (typically two days based in-person/on-campus), 09:00-17:00 Monday - Friday, with occasional requirement to work evening and weekends to attend open days and other events as required.
The Postgraduate Recruitment Team is responsible for the recruitment and conversion of postgraduate taught home-domiciled students at the University of Bristol. Significant areas of activity for the assistant include supporting the organisation and delivery of the University’s visit opportunities for prospective PG students, such as, open day and virtual events. The post holder will also support in the development of widening participation initiatives at postgraduate level and will provide general administrative support to the UK Postgraduate Recruitment Team.
What will you be doing?
This post holder will support the team to deliver a portfolio of recruitment activities by representing the University at on-campus and online recruitment events and undertaking any administrative tasks related to the successful delivery of the team’s objectives, as directed by the Postgraduate Recruitment Manager. This role will be working within a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision whilst providing high-quality customer service to visitors, students and/or staff.

We are looking for a motivated team player who can prioritise effectively and enjoys having a varied to-do list. You will need good IT skills (proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word), a keen eye for detail and a desire to continuously improve the processes. Ideally, you might already have some higher education/marketing/or event management experience, but if not, a willingness to get stuck-in and learn on the job is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
