About the Role
The Alumni Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for building upon existing activity and developing new opportunities that increase engagement between the School of Economics and Finance (SEF), the University, and targeted alumni cohorts. The postholder will work with the Development and Alumni Engagement (DDAE) team and the School’s Professional Services (PS) team to develop and implement a strategy for engaging with alumni, in order to generate increasing numbers of ambassadors for these Schools and the University, and alumni volunteers involved in programmes supporting the student experience and employability.
About You
The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with colleagues, students, volunteers, donors, senior academics and management, working independently or as part of a team. You should be able to demonstrate experience of working in an education or charity environment, alumni engagement, constituency relations or managing volunteers. Establishing and managing effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver high quality projects, activities and events. You should also have a proven track record of planning, managing and delivering events. Experience of using a CRM database, producing clear and effective written communications, good knowledge of compliance legislation and knowledge of current challenges in Higher Education.
About the School
The School of Economics and Finance is a leader in teaching and research at both the national and international level. It has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programmes that are jointly run with other Schools. The School has over 700 undergraduate students, and over 800 postgraduate taught students. It offers excellent facilities and resources to enhance learning, including offering training and access to real time trading software to both UG and PGT students.
