About us
The Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London is one of the oldest law schools in England and recognised globally as one of the best law schools in the world. The Dickson Poon School of Law is housed in the East Wing of Somerset House, a Grade One listed building, on the College’s Strand Campus, no more than a couple of minutes’ walk from the Royal Courts of Justice and Inns of Court and midway between Westminster and the City of London.
The Centre for Data Futures has recently been established to spearhead research that focuses on participatory infrastructure throughout the life of data-reliant tools. As such, the centre brings together expertise that stretches from the humanities to computer science, via law, medicine and education.
About the role
The Dickson Poon School of Law has long recognised the importance of emerging technologies where legal teaching and research is concerned. Technology is now increasingly evident in shaping how law is practised; how legal services are provided, and how legal and regulatory functions are performed.
The post holder will exercise world-class academic research and teaching. We are open to the candidate’s field of specialist expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake world-leading research and a deep personal commitment to the delivery of teaching of the highest quality with a particular interest in digital or technology and law.
The post holder will help develop and implement a new Digital Law LLM starting in September 2025. This programme is designed to equip legal professionals with the skills and knowledge required to navigate the rapidly evolving data-driven technologies reshaping the legal landscape.
