The role
This role is integral to the Bristol Centre for Supercomputing (BriCS), which operates the Isambard-AI, Isambard 3, and High-Performance Computing programmes. As Communications Manager, you'll develop and execute a communications strategy for BriCS and the wider University. Your responsibilities include promoting BriCS and Isambard through events, collaborating with marketing and media teams, and effectively communicating successes to diverse audiences. While expertise in High-Performance Computing or AI isn't required, an interest in science communication, tech, and university research is beneficial. You'll also measure the impact of your work using qualitative and quantitative analysis, supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Embedded within the BriCS team, you'll work closely with academics and professionals, fostering strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
We ideally aim to fill this role on a full-time basis but are open to considering part-time applications at 0.8 FTE (28 hours per week).
This is an open-ended position with fixed funding until March 2029.
What will you be doing?
The postholder will sit within the Strategic Comms and Marketing team but act as a key point of contact and have day to day interaction with the BriCS team.
