Faculty / Directorate

Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Faculty Operations to lead and manage a comprehensive range of specialist, technical and professional services functions within the Faculty, in support of the Faculty and University’s strategic aims.
Reporting to the Director of Faculty Operations and acting as her formal Deputy across the breadth of her strategic and operational responsibilities, you will have oversight of a complex range of resources to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Faculty.
Your role includes the management of services to both students and staff, within a vibrant, supportive community of academic and professional service excellence.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, including excellent people skills, line management of staff and the ability to motivate teams and optimise performance. Your ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to enhance service delivery and development. You will have well-developed influencing and negotiating skills, including with senior staff. You will possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
You will have a demonstrable track record in delivering business change, and experience of management and analysis of data to inform strategy and decision making. You’ll have experience of developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planning, as well as planning and managing budgets. You’ll also have strong project management skills and the ability to analyse problems and find solutions across multiple stakeholders to support the delivery of projects.

Interviews will be taking place on 10th/11th October 2024. This role is hybrid and you will be expected to be on campus 60% of the working week.
