We are looking for enthusiastic researcher to work on an exciting Wellcome funded project examining predictors and consequences of youth mental health in real time.
The Opportunity:
Applications are invited for a research assistant post focused on preparing, collecting, cleaning and analysing new mental health data from two large cohort studies: The Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) and the Twins Early Development Study (TEDS).
The successful applicant will work with the PI and other team members to set up a novel and one-of-a-kind study collecting daily mental health data through smartphones in the ALSPAC and TEDS studies. The successful applicant will be responsible for obtaining ethical approval, prepping for data collection, working with the ALSPAC and TEDS teams to facilitate data collection, data cleaning and analysis of the data ready for publication. Alongside this, the successful applicant will work with the study PI to set up and manage a lived experience advisory group to help guide the research and dissemination of results.
The successful candidate will receive training and support to achieve these aims and will be given plenty of opportunity for career development by attending training courses and presentations at international/national conferences. This post would particularly suit researchers looking to eventually progress towards a PhD position or another research related position.
