About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Database Development Officer to join our expanding team of data management and IT staff supporting a growing portfolio of clinical trials. The postholder will provide support on activities related to database development and Data Management for clinical research and Information Governance.
About You
You will be educated to A-level or above or hold equivalent relevant experience and hold a recognised IT qualification or data management certificate/experience. They will have experience of data management and/or database development ideally in clinical research. Experience of building online forms and writing data validation checks is essential.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into five separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.
The post-holder will work in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM). CEM is a new and thriving research centre that incorporates a number of collaborative units who work closely together to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary research strengths. This post will be based within the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit, a fully registered UKCRC trials unit which leads and supports clinical trials https://www.qmul.ac.uk/pctu/.
