This post will support the specific project BIOMEDASA (BIOmedical DAta Science Accelerator).
This is an MRC-funded project for 2-years in the first instance. BIOMEDASA aims to pilot four interventions and one study to address and advance some of the challenges faced in biomedical data science. These interventions will aim to better resource data science in clinical groups, democratise training, improve our understanding of post-graduate education in the field, provide opportunities for those aiming to retrain in biomedical data science and reach out to children from underprivileged backgrounds with a programme to popularise coding and data skills.
We are looking for a project officer to support BIOMEDASA with administrative, organisational and documentation tasks. Reporting to CBF Director Eva Caamano Gutierrez, you will possess excellent internal and external communications and organisational skills, including the ability to run projects, build relationships and networks with all project stakeholders and support wider reach. The CBF operates in a research environment that encourages working independently, supports knowledge expansion and curiosity. You will be part of a supportive team that allows for teamwork and information sharing opportunities. The team is fully committed to development of staff in both research and professional services posts.
You should have a degree or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience.
You may also be involved in wider CBF/LIV-SRF activity, for example supporting organisation of courses, outreach activities or other coordination of events.
This post is hybrid with at least two days per week expected on Campus and occasional support offsite.
The post is funded for 2 years in the first instance and is offered on a fixed term contract.
