The role
As a Library Supervisor based in Augustine’s Courtyard, you will work with colleagues to ensure an excellent service through the timely and accurate processing of inter-library loan requests, subscriptions, and payments. You will be responsible for the line management and day-to-day supervision of a small team of Library Assistants.
This is a part-time position working 21 hours per week.
What will you be doing?
You will supervise processes and transactions whilst continually reviewing them to identify areas for improvement. This role is key to successfully implementing change and you will support colleagues in this. You will also be ready to develop your own understanding of the challenges of delivering inter-library loan provision in a HE environment, and an awareness of new and emerging areas in this field.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate with some experience of first line management or experience taking a lead within a defined area of responsibility or project, demonstrating a strong drive to motivate colleagues. You will support the management of staff performance and contribute to recruitment and training. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work and communicate well with a wide range of colleagues, other HE institutions, and external suppliers.
