The Role
Due to significant growth across the University over the last three years and planned growth over the next five, we are looking for a new Senior Management Accountant to join our team.
Reporting to the Head of Management Accounts within the Finance directorate, the Senior Management Accountant will form a key part of the Finance team. You will coach and develop two Management Accountants along with their own portfolio of budget holders.
This role will also work closely with the Director of Finance, and other teams including the People and Culture for staff establishment purposes and all budget holders across the university. It will lead and manage all day-to-day operational aspects of management account’s function, including monthly reporting of own portfolio and those of the management accountants.
The Candidate
You will lead on the consolidated reporting monthly, budget and forecast processes throughout the year.
To succeed in this role, you will bring high quality prior experience in producing financial information that is easy to understand, be responsive, have strong collaborative links with budget holders and be able to improve and drive change in the way financial information is reported at senior level.
A good understanding of what good looks like (processes, systems, practice etc) and the ability communicate clear and concisely in a fast-moving environment would be of particular value.
Hybrid working with one day per week in the office in our state-of-the-art facilities in North Greenwich.
