Are you someone with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to drive improvements across a varied and dynamic finance service?
The University is currently undertaking an ambitious multi-year transformation programme, introducing new systems and ways of working. To aid our implementation we are seeking an exceptional individual who has experience of drafting financial policies and procedures to join our team. Primarily, you will be providing cover to enable the existing post holder to be seconded to the transformation programme. However, there will also be opportunities to become involved in drafting policies and procedures for the programme too.
The role
You will review, update and sometimes write financial policies and procedures to support either existing or new, systems and activities. This will involve liaising with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to agree content, gather feedback and gain the necessary approvals. In conjunction with colleagues, you will then publicise these policies and procedures to the wider finance community and help embed them into working practices. With the opportunity to develop a breath of knowledge across all aspects of financial activities you will act as a point of reference for others in signposting and responding to queries.
