The department of Art & Music is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well-organised and ambitious applicant to the role of Technical instructor in Make Up and Hair Design.  We are looking to appoint an outstanding candidate with experience in delivering technical workshops and support at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful applicant will have industry knowledge , and a keen interest in the latest industry reaction to editorial beauty and catwalk .  The ability to devise technical workshop delivery within the specialism of make - up and hair design, in support of the academic the lecturing team .  They must be resourceful, self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude to problem solve requests while dealing tactfully with students. The ability to work under pressure is essential.

Essential Criteria:

• A good honours degree in MUHD and or Industry experience as a MUA .
• Experience of Technical skills delivery desirable .
• Lecturer
• An in-depth knowledge of specialist subject and professional areas within fashion.
• A good understanding of pedagogy.
• The ability to develop and update teaching material and preferably have experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment.
