About the Role
The Queen Mary Engineering School (QMES) is a flagship Joint Educational Institute (JEI) with Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) in Xi’an, China. QMES sits within the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS), which is home to the Centre for Research in Engineering and Materials Education (CREME). CREME was established to develop activities in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning to support the School in contributing to the Queen Mary’s Strategy 2030.
We are looking for applicants with experience in delivering core materials science and engineering education in transnational education and with the capability to contribute to technical modules in one or more of our engineering disciplines to join our education team at the NPU campuses in China.
Individuals should have strong pedagogical expertise in the design and delivery of education to a diverse student population at undergraduate level and are also particularly interested in individuals with experience or interest in educational leadership. The post has a substantial involvement in educational delivery with 20% allocated time for scholarship, in which an emphasis on engineering skills pedagogy is expected.
