About the role:

Do you have excellent administrative and PA skills in an academic research environment? Do you enjoy organising and setting up processes to support efficient working?

We are looking for someone to join our ICTU Administrative team on a part-time basis, to support Victoria Cornelius, Professor of Medical Statistics and Trial Methodology, Director of Imperial Clinical Trials Unit, and Co-Director of NIHR RSS Imperial and Partners hub.

What you would be doing:

  • Providing comprehensive, proactive and adaptable Personal Assistant support to the ICTU Director
  • Collaborating effectively and fostering meaningful connections with colleagues across all levels within ICTU and throughout the Faculty of Medicine, as well as external collaborators.
  • This is a varied, busy role with a mix of personal, research and teaching administration. Types of tasks include expertly managing complex diaries, planning and organizing travel itineraries, raising purchase orders, arranging meetings, supporting workshops and seminars and handling all the paperwork and electronic filing associated with a busy Director including creating and formatting presentations and materials for dissemination.

  • Excellent administration skills with suitable experience in a PA or research role
  • Strong attention to detail, a passion for supporting research, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • A motivated, well-organised person
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Someone who can work effectively as part of a team as well as alone
  • Proficiency with digital tools (Microsoft 365, databases, reference manager)

Further Information

The role is based in the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit, White City, and you will be part of the ICTU administrative team.

It is a part time (0.6FTE / 21 hours per week) role, with an open-ended contract.

Hybrid working is available over a minimum of 4 days, with in-person 1 to 2 days a week on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.
