About the role
Brighton and Sussex Medical School invites applications for a new senior development manager to lead a fundraising programme supporting both the Medical School and My University Hospitals Sussex, the dedicated charity for local hospitals across Sussex.
Working closely with the Medical School Secretary, the Dean of the Medical School, My University Hospitals Sussex, and the major gifts team within the University of Sussex Development and Alumni Relations Office, you’ll play a strategic role in identifying new prospects, developing major gift proposals to cultivate and solicit leadership and major gifts from individuals, including BSMS alumni, as well as from corporates, trusts and foundations.
You will provide line management to the Development Manager in your team.
About you
You will have experience in health and/or translational life sciences and an excellent track record of securing mid- and high-level gifts from individuals to support medical research and medical student scholarships and hardship funds.
