About the Role

The principal purpose of the job will be to contribute to the development of research outputs in biomedical device fabrication for neurodegenerative diseases therapies. The role will encompass all of the following, but the balance of duties and responsibilities will be determined in discussion with the post holder’s line manager:

  • Design and optimisation of focused ultrasound devices for opening BBB;
  • Application of photo-biomodulation devices for cellular rejuvenation;
  • Integration of biomedical device diagnostics with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI);
  • Supporting the development of an in-vitro advanced blood brain barrier model; and
