We are establishing a new multi-disciplinary team with responsibility for the delivery and continuous improvement of digital content distributed through our main external website and staff intranet.
This role will be part of a team of experienced specialists who will work collaboratively to ensure a user-centred approach that provides a great user experience, with engaging, relevant and accessible content that meets (and exceeds) user needs.
Ultimately, the team’s work will create high performing digital experiences that will help prospective students and other external stakeholders to choose to study and work with UWTSD and enable colleagues to more effectively find and share information.
These new roles will sit alongside the other teams in the wider Marketing department such as social media, Advertising and Content Marketing.
THE ROLE
The UX Researcher is responsible for understanding user needs and behaviours for one of more digital products. This includes the main external website and staff intranet.
You will systematically design and conduct user research to collect and analyse data to help inform product and content design.
As the ‘user voice’ you will help develop and continuously improve the user experience and optimise their content journeys to successfully accomplish their goals. You’ll be the champion for user needs across the organisation, influencing stakeholders to foster a research-led culture. As UX Researcher, you will work closely and collaboratively with others across the wider department to support the University’s strategic marketing objectives. The role will also work collaboratively with both technical and design teams in Digital Services to plan and execute successful delivery of new products.
In this hands-on role, you will own research initiatives from discovery to delivery, working closely with colleagues within the multidisciplinary delivery team, such as Content Designer, Senior SEO Officer, and Content Editors to lead research, challenge assumptions and embed user insights into every decision.
Please refer to the job description for details on the essential criteria required for this role.
