About the Role

If so, this is a great opportunity to join Imperial’s Faculty of Natural Sciences and support its dynamic Partnerships team.

The Partnerships team works to maximise the impact of Imperial’s research by identifying, managing, and progressing opportunities for collaboration and commercialisation. This role provides a stepping stone into the world of academic-industry engagement and offers valuable exposure to a wide range of research, sectors, and funding landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with experienced team members to support the development and management of collaborative opportunities with corporate partners, funders, and government bodies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the creation and delivery of collaborative research and education projects
• Mapping academic expertise aligned with industry needs in the natural sciences
• Conducting market and sector research to identify trends, priorities, and opportunities
• Supporting the communication of research capabilities through marketing materials and events
• Drafting communications to external partners and publicising engagement opportunities
• Assisting in due diligence on new and existing partners
• Managing your own workload effectively to contribute to team objectives

About You

You will have a background in physics, chemistry, mathematics, or computer science—ideally at MSc or PhD level. A strong interest in industry-academia collaboration is essential, as are excellent communication and administrative skills. Previous experience in higher education or technology commercialisation would be an advantage.
