About the role

The role of Mental Health Mentor plays is critical in enabling students to thrive and we are looking for compassionate and skilled professional to join us. You will have a relevant professional qualification, for example, Mental Health Nurse, member of the BACP or National Counselling Society, along with the experience and skills to hold a caseload of students, facilitate the creation of risk assessments and safety plans, provide specific in interventions to support student engagement, achievement and progression and collaborate with the wider Student Services team
This position is for a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months, at 18.5 hours a week.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position. You can assess your eligibility for sponsorship on the UKVI website.
