About the role
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with experience of working in a library or similar publishing/content environment. In your role as Content Development and Coordination Manager you will lead, develop and implement effective centralised support services related to curatorial support, content selection and procurement, and acquisition budget management and invoice payment. Managing a small team, you will lead on the planning, co-ordination and delivery of content analysis and value for money reviews to ensure acquisition expenditure on contemporary material aligns with the British Library's collecting principles and priorities.
You should possess strong financial management, IT and data analysis skills and be an effective communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities. You will play a key role collaborating with teams across the organisation involved in the development and implementation of the British Library Content Strategy in line with available funding. You should feel confident collaborating with individuals at all levels and have demonstrable project and change management experience and a track record of delivery.
You will join a small enthusiastic team dedicated to supporting the development of the British Library collection and the effective management of acquisition funds.
