Do you have a passion for coaching and teaching? Birkbeck, University of London, has an excellent opportunity for an Associate Lecturer to teach throughout 2025.
Birkbeck Business School is looking to recruit a part-time, Associate Lecturer to teach on the module:
Your role will be to deliver teaching to Birkbeck students, in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully, and to undertake all related course administrative duties as required.
This post offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established skills-based postgraduate module on the Coaching programmes in the Birkbeck Business School.
This module forms part of our Career Coaching and Coaching Psychology Certificate and Masters programme - it begins the journey for students to gain a good foundation for developing the core skills for Coaching in organisations and with a career specialism.
The programme supports students to develop high-level reflective practice, an understanding of the core digital and in-person skills needed to support clients with career and work conversations, and to work safely at depth as organisational coaches. It is built around an evidence-based and reflective experience in the classroom.

Remuneration:
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £68.13 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
