We are seeking to recruit a Head of Analysis and Digital Change, to lead and shape the system analysis and project delivery capabilities within IT Services. The role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference within ITS and across the wider UWE, and is critical to the successful delivery of the University’s strategic programmes.

As part of the management team for the IT delivery function, the post holder will be the IT lead for projects and initiatives ensuring the successful delivery of technical changes, and will build relationships with key stakeholders providing a point of contact at all levels for the ITS portfolio.

The role will also involve managing the analyst and project delivery teams, inspiring high performance and leading the development of best practice processes and standards aligned with agreed  frameworks. It is a unique opportunity to promote and develop analytical and technical project delivery excellence within UWE and make significant contribution to the strategic direction of IT Services.

About you

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced leader with a passion for delivery and working and leading collaboratively. You will bring –

  • Experience of working within or with an IT service at a leadership level
  • Experience of developing and applying best-practice processes to deliver change
  • Experience of leading and developing high performance teams
  • Experience in embedding and maintaining governance processes, reporting, assurance, performance and risk management
  • Experience in producing and maintaining documentation and management information/reports for governance boards and senior management
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), a keen awareness of the audience, able to present complex information to a range of audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholder.
  • The ability to use creativity and innovation to solve complex problems.

We have a large and diverse IT team of over 170 professionals involved in the development and maintenance of around 700 different applications and systems supporting both our Students and Staff communities. This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.
