The Role:
Our team is growing rapidly and we are seeking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to help the growing needs of the Centre. The post is an interesting and varied job allowing you to work closely with the Centre Directors as well as providing administrative support to the Centre and the Programme Manager. This will include multiple diaries and inboxes management, organising travel, assisting with events organisation, taking minutes and general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Centre. The post-holder will also have the opportunity to develop many areas of their work and should enjoy the opportunity to work on their own initiative.
The post is available as either a Part Time (0.8FTE) or Full Time (1FTE) post, depending on the requirements of the post-holder. We also welcome applications for flexible working arrangements.
About You:
The successful applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be flexible and adaptable to the requirements of the team. We are a small team so we will be seeking an individual who is willing to work effectively with other team members and have a positive attitude. The role holder must be able to demonstrate knowledge of facts, principles, processes and general concepts related to Administrative work in a small research team. Excellent and accurate written English, the ability to prioritise workload across multiple tasks and to meet deadlines together with a high level of attention to detail, are also essential. The postholder will be responsible with the ability to exhibit tact and diplomacy, recognising when a matter being handled is confidential.
