Job description:
We have an outstanding opportunity in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering for someone looking to make an impact in modelling of particulate processes for the pharmaceutical industry.
You will have knowledge of first-principle modelling and/or data driven modelling, and a solid understanding of particulate process modelling methodologies. You will have experience in the planning, design and execution of experimental studies and will be able to use results to inform process design, scale-up and control. You will hold (or be close to completing) a PhD in a science or engineering discipline, or have equivalent experience.
Our aim is to develop useful models for powder based manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on the manufacture of pharmaceutical solid oral dosage forms. You will be appointed with the EPSRC MediForge: Industry 5.0 Medicines Manufacturing Research Hub, and will take a leading role in coordinating with hub members, across both academia and industry.
