About the role:
We are looking for a multidisciplinary researcher to contribute to the development of a non-invasive brain-computer interface. This role involves advancing a novel approach that integrates:
The position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and acoustics, building on theoretical models and early experimental results to create a breakthrough in neural interfacing.
What you would be doing:
You will lead an independent experimental programme of research in acousto-electric neuroimaging, first quantifying the acousto-electric effect in the laboratory, and later demonstrating the effect in-vivo on human volunteers. You will undertake original research, including project management and supervision of other researchers. You will have opportunities to seek further research funding, including external fellowships, to support and advance your research.
