About the role
This is a brand new role for Sussex at an exciting point of full transformation of our web estate.
Sitting within a newly formed Digital team, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering user research and insights activities that will guide our content approach and operations. This will see you work alongside colleagues to plan, design and carry out a range of user research activities, analyse research data, and share the findings with others to help us develop a full understanding of our users and their needs.
You’ll also take day-to-day charge of our AI-driven audience insights bank – a new tool at the heart of our content strategy – and work with the wider Digital team to bring a range of stakeholders across the University on board in seeing its value.
You’ll be part of the team working in partnership with stakeholders across the University to make content work harder and smarter for us, to realise our vision for our new website, and continue its success over time.
About you
You’ll be passionate about the power of high quality, well-organised and structured content that best meets the needs of a diverse group of users. And you’ll enjoy being part of the team of experts to roll out this way of thinking and new approach to content across the wider University.
This role might be for you if you relish the opportunity to design, facilitate and analyse qualitative and quantitative user research methods and feel confident presenting your findings in various formats and contexts that meet the needs of a broad range of stakeholders. With your analytical mind, you’ll regularly lean on your excellent skills in Google Analytics and other analytics software and work with others to build their understanding. And you’ll enjoy owning and constantly developing our audience insights bank, turning it into a widely used and trusted resource for colleagues across the University.
