Senior Delivery Manager (Fixed Term)

An opportunity has become available at University of Cambridge for a Senior Delivery Manager with a background in the delivery of digital products and services.  The successful applicant will support the Identity and Access Management (IAM) programme during this period.

This is a great opportunity to work on a high-profile strategic initiative within University Information Services (UIS) www.uis.cam.ac.uk/about-us. You will support the Head of Identity alongside working with various colleagues across the Collegiate University to track and organise key activities. 

As a Senior Delivery Manager working on the IAM programme you will be working on one of the most complex business transformations an organisation can undertake requiring a blend of project management and product delivery. You will be responsible for working with, guiding and directing a diverse set of stakeholders and resources to deliver impactful products that realise benefits that stretch across the organisation. Dependency management, stakeholder engagement and risk management are essential to be successful in the role.

This is a 2-year fixed term role split between University Information Services' modern offices on the West Cambridge Site and working from home.  We offer flexibility of working hours together with a generous pension and holiday allowance.

As a Senior Delivery Manager you will

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team tasked with delivery of the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform.
• Actively lead the strategic planning of the delivery of the IGA platform.
• Act as part of the escalation path to remove obstacles and facilitate delivery of the IGA platform.
• Allocate and manage both internal and external resources that operate in a matrix structure.
• Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of all project documentation.
• Manage timelines, risks, issues and dependencies within the scope of the project.
• Take an active role in stakeholder engagement working with your team to deliver defined outcomes.
• Be responsible for all reporting and managing a project delivery board.
• Be responsible for supporting the Head of IAM in preparing documentation and collateral.
• Provide strategic input in defining the mid-term road map of delivery past the initial implementation and the end of the project.

The right candidate is

• Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity and are able to work as high-level, or as detailed, as the task requires.
• Adept at working with stakeholders at all levels.
• Has a wealth of experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary delivery team to shape and build digital products and services.
• Has expert knowledge and extensive experience applying varying project management methodologies.
• Has experience working on identity and access management projects and specifically Sailpoint ISC (previously known as IdentityNow).
• Has line management experience or a keen desire to oversee and develop others.
