Assistant Lecturer in Occupational Therapy

Appointment(s) may be on a permanent/fixed term/pro-rata/part-time basis as required at Assistant Lecturer level. A panel will be created for any vacancies that may arise in the future.  

The Assistant Lecturer will deliver modules in the area of Occupational Therapy. 

Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum 

• An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent. 
• Ideally, three years relevant post-qualification experience. 
• Must be registered with CORU

Desirable

• An MSc in a relevant area. Experience of lecturing in a 3^rd level environment. 
• Experience in the supervision of placements. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in teams

Candidates may be considered for incremental credit above point 1 of the scale for previous relevant industry experience in accordance with University Policy. 

If an existing Lecturer in a technological university or institute of technology applies for this Assistant Lecturer post, they may, at the discretion of the TU/IoT, be appointed at Lecturer level, retaining their current pay and incremental date.
