About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly developed Bath Mental Health Research Group (MHRG) at the University of Bath.
The MHRG is funded for an initial 5 years by the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research).
The focus of our work is improving health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 12-25 in the local region.
The Bath MHRG is partnering with the Universities of Bristol and Exeter (as part of the GW4 network) to deliver this work.
We are looking to recruit to a full-time (1.0 FTE) Centre Administrator, which will be of crucial importance to the successful running of the MHRG.
This is a new research centre, and the role affords an exciting opportunity to implement focused and efficient operational processes from the outset.
The Centre Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the MHRG as well as support for research including financial reporting, networking, communications and liaison between our academic partners and other key stakeholders.
To do this you will liaise with academic, managerial, and administrative staff across MHRG, the University of Bath, and with representatives of external organisations including local NHS services, education, local authorities, and third sector organisations.
Experience of/or willingness to become proficient in research governance relevant to health and social care contexts.
About you
Experience within the HE sector and knowledge of University specific software (e.g. Agresso, Food Direct, Clarity, etc) will be an added advantage. However, an interest and willingness to learn about university systems and become part of our team, are equally important.
Additional information
Due to the requirements of the post, in-person attendance at the University of Bath is required.
This post is therefore not suitable for someone looking for a fully remote position.
Please direct questions to the Centre Manager of the MHRG, Andie Barlow ab2342@bath.ac.uk.
Campus visits can be organised with sufficient advance notice.
