About the Role
This job is a stakeholder engagement, event management and programme coordination role. A key member of the SEF Professional Services Team, the post holder will be responsible for developing, and coordinating a series of professional development workshops and events primarily aimed at our Postgraduate (PGT) students, managing the Postgraduate Professional Development Award and managing professional development modules. This will include developing initiatives to encourage students to engage with careers/professional development activity.
The post holder will also play a key role in supporting other UG and PGT career-related activities for the School, with a particular focus on production of the weekly newsletter, liaising with academics, engagement with student reps, student employability lead and supporting the student societies.
About You
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience of working within a Higher Education setting. Demonstrable experience of working and communicating collaboratively, advising and working with key stakeholders including students, employers, a wide variety of businesses, academic colleagues, alumni and other external partners.
About the School
The School of Economics and Finance is a leader in teaching and research at both the national and international level. It has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programmes that are jointly run with other Schools. The School has over 800 undergraduate students, and over 1000 postgraduate taught students. It offers excellent facilities and resources to enhance learning, including offering training and access to real time trading software to both UG and PGT students. The School is located within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences which comprises of nine Schools.
