Goodenough College, based in Central London, Mecklenburgh Square, offers a vibrant and secure accommodation to approximately 700 international post-graduate students (we call them Members) and their families. The College’s aim is to create a stimulating and inclusive residential environment through a well-planned programme of lectures, dinners, concerts and social activities.
The College is now looking for an organised and reliable Finance Officer to join its busy finance team of seven focusing on accounts receivable.
Key responsibilities include handling financial queries from our Members, processing damage deposit refunds, managing invoices, reconciling accounts receivable ledgers, and effective credit control.
You must have previous experience in a similar finance office environment and be an effective team player. You should have core excel skills and be comfortable using data and financial software to complete daily tasks. Working in finance means high accuracy and attention to detail in an environment of competing priorities and you are expected to manage these in a professional and team orientated way, whilst demonstrating a strong work ethic and desire to further develop areas of responsibility.
As this is a customer-facing role, you will need to work from the office four days a week.
The College supports relevant account qualifications, covering costs and providing paid study leave. You will also receive guidance and assistance for your studies from qualified colleagues.
The College offers good employee benefits such as 25 days’ annual leave, additional days at Christmas, pension and Medicash. The College provides free meals when working on site, the opportunity to join the vibrant and collegiate college life such as attending talks/seminars and music performances.
To apply, please begin by reading the full job description and person specification. Then, submit your CV along with a one-page cover letter.
