About this role
Student Data and Systems (SDS) supports learning and teaching at UWE and helps enhance the student experience. The SDS community works together to join up our various business and system areas.
The External Reporting team takes the lead for compiling and submitting a wide range of statutory and compliance reporting. This includes key annual returns to organisations such as HESA, the Office for Students, the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the Department for Education.
About you
You will bring your experience of leading a team and delivering a data or reporting service in a complex organisation, along with a strong ability to provide information stewardship and compliance. You will prioritise the workload to ensure deadlines are met and that service enhancement is at the core of the team’s endeavours.
In this role, you will be instrumental to the delivery of an external reporting service and, using your strong analytical and solution-focused skills, you will continually explore ways in which you can contribute to the wider student data governance agenda.
Knowledge of Higher Education reporting requirements is an advantage, but of equal importance is the desire to develop your relevant expertise and to provide the team with the drive and passion to deliver an outstanding reporting service.
Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will be an excellent communicator who is able to build productive working relationships and work collaboratively to support the delivery of our services.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per wee and is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time
UWE Bristol is a campus-based University, therefore, this role is campus based for at least 40 percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days
