We seek to recruit a Lecturer (Education) in Modern European History, from 1st January 2026 to 31st December 2026. This 12-month post, as cover for a BA Mid-Career Fellow, will involve teaching and supervising at undergraduate and postgraduate level in modern European history, as well as contributing to the teaching of public history and to the School’s administration activity.
The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics is one of the largest and most diverse Schools at the University, exploring culture and society from the origins of humanity and ancient history to contemporary debates around politics and government. We are also home to a number of research centres, such as the Centre for Public History, which bring together clusters of research conducted by academics in the school and beyond.
