Applications are invited for the post of Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach (neaco) Project Coordinator. The post holder will have responsibility for monitoring progress and measuring the impact of activities delivered by the neaco project.
This post is part of the Uni Connect Programme, funded by the government and overseen by The Office for Students (OfS). The programme was set up in 2017 and supports a strategic goal that students' access to higher education is not limited by their background, location or characteristics. Uni Connect brings together 29 partnerships of universities, colleges and other local partners to offer activities, advice and information on the benefits and realities of going to university or college. As part of this national project, the University of Cambridge is acting as the lead for a partnership of Higher Education Institutions and other stakeholders across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The neaco Project Coordinator is one of two roles that provides the link between the neaco Central Team activity and administration and the network's outreach activities taking place across the region. They will ensure strong links and communication channels with all partners, and oversee the smooth running of the project. The role involves responsibility for coordinating key areas of the project such as data evaluation, and delivery within the Further Education Colleges.
Applicants should be educated to at least degree level (or equivalent experience), with experience of coordinating complex projects and experience of managing staff. The successful candidate will have a detailed knowledge of, and commitment to, recruitment and widening participation to Higher Education in the UK, a detailed understanding of the structure and systems of UK secondary schools and colleges, and outstanding communication skills.
The position is maternity cover, subject to external funding and is available on a fixed term contract until 31st July 2026 or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
This role is available part time, at 0.8 fte. We would also consider applicants looking to work 0.6fte.
