Are you a research-focused and effective person who can combine operational efficiency with the ability to think across domains and disciplines, communicating clearly to diverse audiences? Do you have an excellent understanding of research skills in an academic environment? Do you have the ability to support the governance functions of a programme or project? Are you able to manage different interactions between partners and academic teams, arranging meetings, liaising, supporting financial operations, reporting and evaluation, and playing a key role in organising and delivering events? 

 The Creative Bridges - Doctoral Focal Award Manager oversees the implementation and management of a doctoral focal award, ensuring it aligns with the award's goals and meets the needs of the participating institutions and students. They focus on building and maintaining partnerships, fostering collaboration, and supporting the training and development activities.

This will be a part-time ongoing role (50%) in supporting and managing a new consortium funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. You will be based at the School of Media and Communication, and the role will be managed by the School Research Manager. The work of the Consortium will be led by the Programme Lead and Co-Programme Lead at the University of Leeds and two Co-Programme Leads at the University of Warwick. The Consortium has several Industry members from the film, television, gaming and immersive media sectors. 

You will be enthusiastic and proactive, with experience of working in a research support role. You will have strong analytical skills, and the ability to analyse and synthesize information to produce reports and guidance. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships inside and outside the university. The nature of the work requires you to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to respond quickly to urgent or unexpected demands as the operation of the consortium is bridged across two institutions and in partnership with industry. You will need to be able to work with a high level of personal initiative and autonomy, utilizing strong IT and interpersonal skills.
