At the Department of Physiology Anatomy & Genetics (DPAG) we undertake discovery science where we reassemble physiological processes at the molecular, cellular, tissue and systems level of organisation. In so doing we provide a bridge to translational medicine, and interface between physical and life sciences. Overview of the role:
We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our team on a translational project investigating lysosomal dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease. The ideal candidate will have experience with iPSC cultures, a background in cellular neuroscience or molecular cell biology, and a meticulous approach to lab work and data handling. You will help develop biomarkers, test therapeutic compounds, and contribute to assay development using iPSC-derived dopamine neurons from Parkinson’s patients. This post is available immediately until 30 June 2026.
Funded by the Michael J Fox Foundation and in collaboration with EndLyz (Dementia Discovery Fund portfolio), this project offers a unique opportunity to work across academic and pharmaceutical research.
