- THE ROLE -
Working with the Director of Global Engagement and the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean for Global Partnerships, the Head of Global Recruitment will lead on the development and delivery of the University’s international recruitment and associated targets under the Global Engagement strategy. They will adopt full leadership of the University's overall activity in this area, and work closely with internal, senior stakeholders to ensure that all such work aligns fully with the University's wider internationalisation objectives and targets.
The role requires substantial experience in international student recruitment within a UK university, including travel, market research, and analysis. The successful candidate must be proactive, prioritise effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment. Expertise in the full international student journey—pre-arrival to post-study—is essential, along with the ability to address sector challenges and implement effective strategies. Some international travel is required, and the candidate must demonstrate agility and autonomy in a dynamic external landscape. The appointed person will be responsible for managing staff within the recruitment team, as well as staff located overseas.
