King's College London, one of the world's most prestigious universities with nearly 200 years of excellence, is seeking an exceptional Vice President (Education & Student Success) to lead a transformational agenda positioning us as a global leader in educational innovation and student experience.
As the 4th oldest university in England, with 43,000 students from 160 countries and an annual income of £1.3 billion, King's has experienced remarkable growth while maintaining our commitment to academic excellence and social mobility. Following promising student growth and significant NSS improvements, we are at a pivotal inflection point, with major transformation programmes underway supported by substantial investment to drive comprehensive change.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor & President and serving on the University Executive, you will shape and lead our most ambitious educational initiatives, including: the Student Futures transformation programme; our assessment revolution (TASK); the distinctive King's Edge experiential learning programme; and the King's Academy, which leads pedagogical innovation in the AI era. Working across nine distinctive faculties, you will champion educational excellence and broader student success that matches our world-leading position.
We seek a proven change-maker with strategic leadership experience in complex, research-intensive universities. You should have exceptional academic credentials, combined with demonstrable experience driving educational transformation at institutional scale across a diverse disciplinary base. Essential attributes include political astuteness to navigate complex institutional structures, the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and a vision to prepare graduates for an AI-transformed world while maintaining academic integrity.
This is a career-defining opportunity to shape the future of education at a world-class institution during strategic renewal, working with established teams and institutional commitment to drive systemic change. You will balance strategic vision with collaborative leadership, championing student partnership while ensuring parity of esteem between teaching and research in preparation for our 200th anniversary in 2029.
