The role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Deputy Director of People and Culture. As an experienced HR professional you will be responsible for developing and delivering the people partnering and advisory service, supporting business objectives through effective people management and development practice, and ensuring HR & OD policy and practice is embedded and operationalised. The postholder will lead by example in supporting a positive employee relations climate and will be committed to delivering operational excellence.
The candidate
MCIPD qualified, you will be able to demonstrate senior management experience in HR within a complex organisation and a successful track record of working with employee representatives in the public sector, including leading on negotiation and consultation activity.
You will have expertise in managing complex employment case work and experience of successfully using HR analytics to support planning and decision-making experience. Familiarity with job evaluations systems and the UK Higher Education environment is also required.
