The School of the Humanities and Social Sciences supports more than 5000 students, over a quarter of the University's total student population, across 11 faculties and departments. The School of the Humanities and Social Sciences acts as the coordinating body for the Council of the School directing academic and financial planning, allocating resources and supporting the above institutions.
The School of the Humanities and Social Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Coordinator to join the School Finance Team. This opportunity with require you to work across the School in individual Faculty or Departments alongside other finance professionals, academic and professional staff supporting the financial operations of each area. You will work flexibly and can be deployed to any department across the School at short notice, to provide support and assistance as operational priorities demand.

The role will be based at the School Office at 17, Mill Lane in the centre of Cambridge. The expectation is that the post holders will be temporarily working across Faculties and Departments primarily based at the Sidgwick site, city centre or Hills Road. There may be an opportunity for hybrid working dependant on the needs of the individual department concerned.
Funding for this post is fixed term for 2 years.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure and a security check.
