Uno is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Hertfordshire. We operate over 100 vehicles across Hertfordshire, North London, and beyond, serving students, local communities, and Transport for London with a turnover approaching £22 million. We run a network of buses around Hatfield that serves the University and the local community, and also around Cranfield University between Milton Keynes and Bedford.

We have done very little marketing over the past couple of years so there is quite a lot of catching up to do both internal and external.

Main duties

You will be responsible for marketing for the business across all channels, this will include social media and publicity marketing. We have some key markets to develop including University students in Hatfield and Cranfield, the local community in Central Herts and the new BSIP corridors.

We need to establish a comprehensive social media presence for the business in the markets it serves, alongside more traditional marketing. How we go about achieving this will be down to you. We want you to use your flair and ingenuity to make the Uno Brand as best as it can be. We want you to create and inspire for the business employees and customers.

Working with the commercial team we want you to understand the impact of your campaigns and how we can continually improve what we offer. We want you to work with the team to develop and sell our on bus products. We want you to develop our internal communication platforms so that our staff become the most well informed in the industry.

Skills and experience

This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed a marketing degree at university or has proven experience and is now ready to take the lead. We are looking for someone who can help make a strong mark for Uno across our business and network.

While you will have the freedom to work independently, you will also be able to share ideas with university colleagues and through Album, a network of like-minded bus companies.

You will need to collaborate with commercial colleagues to evaluate projects and get involved in larger business projects, such as recruitment events and fresher fairs.

It is essential that you can create engaging content for our social media channels, website, and app.

Qualifications

Graphic or Content Design qualification or experience within the Marketing Industry.

Please view the job description and person specification for a full list of the duties and essential criteria. Please attach a portfolio of work that you have completed that meets the examples of work required

Internal applicants – please ensure you apply via your employee self-service portal.

We regret that we are unable to offer UKVI sponsorship for this post; applicants will either hold UK Right to Work or demonstrate access to UK Right to Work before an offer is made.
