Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our officer between Christmas and New Year

Location: Based remotely – working primarily within Berkshire, Oxfordshire and outskirts of South West London.

Main duties and responsibilities

The role focuses on recruiting suitably qualified UK students and building strong relationships with schools and colleges in the assigned region. You will plan and deliver engaging presentations, workshops, webinars, and events to students, parents, and advisers. You will also represent the University at Higher Education fairs and exhibitions, support University-wide recruitment events such as open days, conferences, and campus visits. You will work collaboratively with University academic staff to design and deliver subject-specific events. You will monitor, evaluate, and report on outreach activity, including feedback from partners, stakeholders, and feeder institutions.

Skills and experience required

We are looking for a confident and engaging communicator, who has experience of successfully delivering presentations, talks or workshops and can connect and communicate effectively with pupils in schools/colleges, parents, guardians, teachers and careers advisers. Excellent organisational and administrative skills, alongside excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal are essential. The ability to persuade and influence others is essential, as is the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team and manage your own schedule.

You will hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for travel to required locations. The role requires someone who is self-motivated, flexible, and able to work well under pressure with strong interpersonal skills including a strong track record in establishing effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and clients. Practical IT skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Office (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint) and other common computing applications: email, internet is required. A willingness to work some unsociable hours including evenings and weekends, the ability to travel varied distances to schools and colleges, to deliver presentations and attend HE fairs/exhibitions including some overnight stay is essential.

Qualifications required

You will be educated with a minimum of a degree or equivalent or proven professional experience.
