The Role
At Ravensbourne we are looking for an International Support Manager to join our International Student Support team
Our International Support Managers are at the centre of our international student experience, guiding strategic improvements, promoting student wellbeing, and ensuring our services are effective.
You will support international students or individuals requiring visas to work or study, working closely with our managers, you will also coach and mentor your team to reach their full potential.
The role involves strategic planning, implementing improvements in how we deliver support.
You will manage our international support budget, planning cultural events, welcome activities, and induction programmes. In addition responsibilities include leading pastoral and wellbeing meetings, providing out-of-hours safeguarding support when needed.
You will oversee the development of tailored support plans for international students, while also ensuring that International Student Support Officers are well-trained and confident in creating and managing plans for the students they work with.
Strong communication with our UKVI compliance team is essential, ensuring clear and consistent information sharing across departments.

An assured approach to event management and a good understanding of how to approach and increase engagement with students.
Experience of providing individual support and demonstrate a compassionate and effective approach to safeguarding and wellbeing support.
Experience of offering support to international students and are able to effectively work across multiple teams
Managed a complex pattern of student intakes, inductions and ongoing support.
