The Institute for Ethics in AI, a world leading centre addressing the ethical challenges and opportunities created by rapidly advancing AI technology, is seeking to appoint an Institute Manager. Leading the professional services team this post will take responsibility for the management and administration of the Institute implementing the vision of Director and Programme Directors. This post is fixed-term up to 30 September 2029.
This is a wide-ranging role demanding excellent organisation and communications skills and strong financial and personnel management experience to support a period of rapid growth and change. The successful candidate will also require strengths in governance, relationship management, and a firm understanding of academic, research and programme administration. The successful candidate will support the Institute Directors in expanding the Institute’s reach, forging strategic partnerships and identifying growth opportunities that enhance educational impact and ensure financial stability and cross sector engagement.
In addition to being professionally qualified with a with a relevant degree/postgraduate qualification, the successful candidate will have extensive experience of working at senior management level in similar or related roles in a complex organisation; a proven ability to manage change and strategic projects with the ability to build collaborative partnerships to conceive develop and deliver a portfolio of small and large scale activities. Significant experience of line management involving a diverse workforce including a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion are also required.
