We have a very enthusiastic core team already working on the project, with City St George’s Medical School, University of London, acting as our sponsor. We are now seeking to expand our team to develop and fully implement the MBBS programme. Newly appointed staff will receive full support from our existing team.
Main duties and responsibilities
You will provide direction and academic leadership to the MBBS team and assume overall responsibility for quality standards and the enhancement of teaching, learning and assessment and the academic experience of students on the programme. You will lead and have oversight of the academic and operational delivery of the MBBS programme at the University of Hertfordshire (UH), delivered in partnership with City St George’s, University of London. You will ensure the MBBS programme meets the standards set by the GMC (2015) in ‘Promoting Excellence’ and that the curriculum aligns with the ‘Outcomes for Graduates’ (GMC, 2018).
Skills and experience required

You will have an in-depth knowledge of GMC quality processes and experience in the design and delivery of undergraduate curricula, coupled with an understanding of medical school governance.
You must have strong organisational, planning and leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty members, students, and external partners.
