Main duties
You will be responsible for the teaching and assessment of pre-registration and/or postgraduate Physiotherapy students and support them on their practice placement site. You will utilise current evidence-base to underpin teaching and learning activities. You may participate in the development and reviews of programmes across the School.
You will contribute to the administration of the School by undertaking additional roles if required, EG module lead and joining teams involved in activities such as admissions, timetabling or placement support. You will undertake and contribute to Physiotherapy research where appropriate. You will also be expected to contribute to the on-going evaluation and review of the School’s activities and contribute to curriculum developments; including development, delivery and teaching on short courses.
Skills and Experience
You will be an experienced practising Physiotherapist with the HCPC with recent academic and/or clinical experience and understanding of the UK system. You will have a broad range of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Your application will demonstrate a sustained interest and knowledge of contemporary Physiotherapy practice. Good oral and written communication skills and being proficient in the English Language are essential. You will demonstrate a willingness to undertake physiotherapy research if appropriate and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
You will be able to work without close supervision, have the ability to organise yourself and others, take the initiative and be self-motivating. You will be adaptable to change and flexible to team and workload requirements. You must be willing to contribute to inter-professional teaching and learning activities, with an interest in evidence-based healthcare.
Qualifications
Honours degree in (or equivalent level 6 qualification) in Physiotherapy, plus a Master’s degree (or equivalent level 7 qualification and/or demonstrate substantial clinical experience) in a relevant subject.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist and have membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherap
