As Bar & Catering Assistant you'll provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors in the Student bar, cafes, and restaurant. At £9,886 rising to £10,204 per year, this is a permanent, part-time role at 20 hours per week, and term-time only.

The duties for this role include:

  • Providing efficient and friendly service to all customers at the University Student bar, cafes and restaurant.
  • Preparing and serving food and beverages to high standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of service areas.
  • Assisting with event space setup and stock rotation, stock taking and rotas.
  • Adhering to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

The successful candidate needs a flexible approach to working as a Barista, Bartender and Catering Assistant within our varied team. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a bar, café or restaurant setting.
  • Understands health and safety protocols.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Salary and benefits:
£9,886 rising to £10,204 per year - actual (Pro-rated £27,461 - £28,169 FTE). Salary is Grade 2 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated weighting/allowance that applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
