About the Role
The Head of PMO will report to the Director of Estates Development and play a critical role in ensuring robust governance, reporting, assurance, and risk management across the estate development portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative capital programme.
The Head of PMO will lead the unit within the Directorate and will be accountable to the Director of Estates Development. At present, three staff members within the Capital Development team, to provide ‘quasi-PMO’ services, including Secretariat support to align with the University’s governance requirements. Initially, the Head of PMO will assume line management responsibility for these staff members and will assess the team’s current capability, processes, practices and resource provision against accepted PMO maturity benchmarks (e.g. ‘P3M3’ gap analysis with respect to key perspectives, including: management control, benefits management, financial management, risk management, stakeholder management, organisational governance, resource management).
A temporary market supplement is attached to this post, which is a separate payment in addition to the normal salary. A review of market conditions will be carried out periodically to establish if the market supplement should continue.
