Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield with some opportunities for hybrid working

This is a brand new role which will support the expanded provision of training, enabling consistency and responsiveness in supporting trainee clinical psychologists.

The programme is based in the Department of Psychology, Sport and Geography on the College Lane Campus at the University of Hertfordshire. The Department is one of the foremost amongst the new universities in teaching and research. The successful applicant will work as part of a friendly, ambitious and enterprising Team who deliver excellent training and continue to develop the programme in innovative and creative ways. 

Main duties and responsibilities

To take a central role in the monitoring and co-ordination of trainee clinical psychologist activity and practice in line with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) standards. To be proactive in working with the programme’s administrative team, the programme’s leadership team and the host employer of the trainee clinical psychologists to highlight issues or concerns related to practice as usual and arrange for the enactment of required processes and procedures. To ensure accurate and timely completion of records and communication between relevant stakeholders across institutions.

Skills and experience required

You will have experience of building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, working compassionately and transparently with others in emotive situations. You will also have experience of working within policies and frameworks relevant to professional practice. You will demonstrate strong organisational, record keeping and IT skills, utilisting a methodological approach with good attention to detail. You will be comfortable working with sensitive material and with high levels of confidentiality. You will be effective in a team setting and demonstrate tact and diplomacy in your work with others.   

Qualifications required

You will be educated to a minimum of degree level or equivalent standard in a field relevant to human relations or people management. You may also have undertaken management or leadership training.
